Industry — HR, Payroll & People Systems

HR software for the most sensitive data you hold

We build HRMS and HRIS systems for companies where payroll has to be right on the first run, an approval chain has to reflect a reorg that happened yesterday, and employee records have to follow the rules of every country you employ in.

HR & Payroll Systems

Employee data is the most sensitive data most companies hold

HR and payroll team at work

An HRMS holds salaries, bank details, home addresses, medical leave, disciplinary notes and right-to-work documents — for everyone in the company, including the people who will judge whether the project went well. Most of the hard requirements follow from that: who can see a field, who can change it, and what the system remembers about the change.

The rest follow from payroll. The cut-off does not move, and a rounding rule, a mid-cycle promotion or a back-dated correction has to land the same way every run. Aryavos builds HR systems around those two facts — access and correctness — and connects them to the finance, identity and benefits systems already in place. Which obligations are in scope, and in which countries, is agreed at the start and designed into the build rather than retrofitted after launch.

  • Field-level access and role separation
  • Payroll calculation and back-dated corrections
  • Approval chains that follow org changes
  • Finance, identity and benefits integrations
  • Country-specific pay and leave rules
  • Audit trail on every record change

What We Build

HR systems we build and maintain

Work for HR, payroll and people-operations teams — usually alongside a finance system, an identity provider and a payroll bureau we do not control.

Core HR & Employee Records

One employee record the rest of the stack can trust, with effective-dated changes rather than overwrites — so a report run for March still shows the team as it stood in March, not as it stands today.

Onboarding & Offboarding

Joiner, mover and leaver flows wired to the systems that actually grant access. The day someone leaves, accounts close, devices are accounted for and final pay is calculated from the same record — instead of three checklists that disagree.

Recruitment & Applicant Tracking

Pipelines, scorecards, interview scheduling and offer approvals, with candidate data kept separate from employee data and a retention rule that deletes what you said you would delete.

Performance & Compensation

Review cycles, goals and calibration, then the merit and bonus round that follows — including the part where a manager can only see the budget and salary bands they are entitled to see.

Time, Attendance & Leave

Shifts, timesheets, overtime rules and accrual balances that differ by contract and by country, with approvals that survive someone being on leave themselves.

Payroll & Payments

Gross-to-net calculation, deductions, back-dated adjustments and payment file generation — plus the reconciliation and variance reports that let payroll spot the odd result before the run goes out.

How We Work

What working with Aryavos on an HR system looks like

The things that tend to decide whether an HR project survives its first full payroll cycle, its first reorg and its first data-access request.

One Employee Record, Many Systems

Finance, identity, benefits, expenses and the badge reader all want a copy of the same person. We make the HR system the place a change starts, then push it outward — so a leaver is a leaver everywhere, not just in the org chart.

Built Around a Deadline That Does Not Move

Payroll cut-off is fixed, so releases, migrations and data loads are scheduled around it — and payroll gets a parallel run against the current system before anyone is asked to trust the new numbers.

Access Control Handled as Engineering

Field-level permissions, separation between a manager's view and HR's, encryption in transit and at rest, and logging of who read what — designed in, not bolted on after someone asks who can see salaries.

Country Rules Kept as Configuration

Working time, overtime, leave accrual, statutory deductions and notice periods differ by country and change without asking you. Kept as versioned configuration, they can be updated and dated rather than re-coded.

Reorgs Without a Rebuild

Departments merge, managers change mid-cycle and reporting lines move. Approval chains resolve against the org structure as it was on the date of the request, so an in-flight approval does not get lost when the structure shifts underneath it.

Support That Knows Your Calendar

Cover is planned around the moments that matter — pay runs, year-end, review cycles and open enrolment — with agreed response expectations, runbooks and documentation handed over so your own team can act first.

Key Features

The modules HR opens every day

Each one is simple on its own. They get difficult when they have to agree with each other, with finance, and with a rule that only applies in one country.

  • Employee Directory & Permissions

Profiles, contracts and documents behind roles that decide what each person sees. A manager sees their team; HR sees the file; the employee sees their own record and can correct the parts they should be able to correct.

  • Payroll Run

Inputs collected from time, leave and compensation, then gross-to-net with deductions, back-dated adjustments and off-cycle payments. Every run keeps its own inputs, so last quarter's payslip can still be reproduced exactly.

  • Approvals & Workflow

Leave, expenses, promotions and headcount requests routed through the chain that applies to that employee — with delegation while a manager is away and a record of who approved what, and when.

  • Time, Attendance & Leave

Clock-ins, shift patterns, overtime and accrual balances that follow the contract rather than one company-wide rule, with the carry-over and expiry logic that trips most spreadsheets in January.

  • Review & Compensation Cycles

Goal setting, review windows, calibration and the merit round, run against a snapshot of the org so a mid-cycle transfer does not orphan a review halfway through.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding

Job posts, applications and interview scheduling, then a hire that becomes an employee record without re-keying — the same data flowing into access provisioning, payroll and the first-day checklist.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we get asked first

By role, at field level, and enforced on the server rather than by hiding fields in the interface. A manager sees their own reports; HR sees the personnel file; finance sees what it needs to pay people and nothing else. Sensitive fields — bank details, health-related leave, disciplinary notes — are separated from the general record, and access to them is logged so a read can be reviewed later, not only a change.

What happens after you send it

A developer reads it, not an auto-responder. Expect questions about scope and constraints first, then a suggested way to start.
